Common Questions & Peace of Mind

Cozy living room with FAQ-shaped wooden shelves on an orange textured wall.

Q: Will I lose control of what I’m saying or doing?

A : Not at all. This is the biggest myth out there. Hypnosis is a state of heightened focus, not a loss of consciousness. You are always in the driver’s seat. If you wouldn't do it while fully awake, you won't do it while in hypnosis. You can open your eyes, speak, or end the session at any time.

Q: Can I get "stuck" in a hypnotic state?

A: In a word: No. Think of hypnosis like being deeply engrossed in a great book or a movie—you’re "in the zone," but you can snap out of it the moment the doorbell rings. If a therapist simply stopped talking, you would either drift into a light sleep or naturally open your eyes when you realized the silence had gone on too long.

Q: What if my mind is "too logical" or "too strong" to be hypnotized?

A: Actually, "strong-willed" people make the best subjects. Hypnosis isn't about being gullible; it’s about focus. If you can follow instructions and have a vivid imagination, you can benefit from this work. Logic is handled by your conscious mind, but we’re simply asking that part of your brain to take a comfortable seat in the waiting room while we talk to the "operating system" (your subconscious).

Q: Will I remember everything that happens?

Yes, typically you will. Most people feel deeply relaxed and aware of everything the therapist says. Some people experience a sensation similar to "highway hypnosis"—where you remember the drive, but the time seemed to pass much faster than usual.

Q: How Many Sessions Will I Need?

A: Commitment is the key to your freedom. Because we are physically re-wiring neural pathways, we require a minimum of 4 sessions to ensure the change sticks. For those battling the deep roots of PTSD, a dedicated 16-session protocol is essential to safely and permanently reclaim your life.

One session is a glimpse; a full program is a total transformation.

Q: What Should I Expect During a Clinical Hypno‑Psychotherapy Session?

A: A profound shift. This isn’t just a "chat"—it’s a targeted intervention for your nervous system. We spend the first few minutes stripping away the mental blocks that keep you stuck using NLP. Then, we move into Clinical Hypnotherapy to silence the noise. You’ll enter a state of deep, restorative focus where we "re-code" your subconscious response to pain and stress. You will leave the chair feeling fundamentally different than when you sat down—lighter, clearer, and finally back in control of your own body.

Q: What If I Cannot Be HYPNOTIZED?

A: If you’ve ever daydreamed or lost track of time while driving, you’ve already been hypnotized! It’s a natural state of focused attention. If you can follow a simple story, you’re a perfect candidate.

Q : Q: My mind is too "busy" or logical. Will this still work?

A: Absolutely. Analytical minds are actually great at this because they know how to focus. On days when your mind is extra "loud," we lean into NLP, which works with your conscious thoughts to get results without needing a deep trance.
